This has been our fifth year running the amazing Connecting to Country Program with participants once again engaging with the learning and sharing of Aboriginal culture.
It has truly been another unbelievable experience, having the opportunity to hear stories from a direct descendant from the land we meet and share these amazing experiences on today. This year we not only had the opportunity to hear the amazing stories, but were actually shown the magnificent sites around the Wonaruah Nation. We all participated in team-building games, Elders from the local area shared their amazing stories and led the smoking ceremony, and we listened to traditional Aboriginal instruments. The Wakakulang Dancers from the MLAECG CTC Program also amazed everybody through sharing their stories via traditional dance.
